Our Mission

Hope Clinic for Women provides safe, confidential, supportive medical care that promotes sexual health and well-being.

Our vision is a transformed community where every life is valued, and every woman and man is supported with compassion, truth, and hope.

Our Story

When God desires to accomplish something extraordinary, He often uses unexpected people and simple beginnings to display His power and grace. That is the story of Hope Clinic for Women.

In the late 1990s, a Fallbrook teenager, Amy Putnam, sought help for her pregnant friend from local physician Dr. Michael Forrester. His guidance was simple: find a compassionate, older woman willing to listen, walk alongside her, and help her explore options. With his support, and the use of a small room in his medical office, Hope Clinic for Women was born.

As the ministry grew, so did the need for a permanent home. Though resources were limited, God placed a bold vision—a “God Dream”—on the hearts of our leadership: a space where pregnancy support and medical services could be offered under one roof.

In 2016, that vision became reality through the “Our Home on Hawthorne” campaign. By faith and the generosity of our community, we purchased and fully renovated our building on Hawthorne Street, opening our doors in October 2018. In 2019, we became a licensed primary care medical clinic, allowing us to continue serving families even through the challenges of the pandemic.

In 2024, we launched “Our Forever Home on Hawthorne” to eliminate the remaining debt on our building. Thanks to incredible generosity, including a $300,000 gift, we crossed the finish line.

Together, our community has contributed over $1.2 million to bring this vision to life. What began as a simple act of compassion has become a lasting place of hope, care, and life right here in Fallbrook.
